About

Purpose

This site is a public, neutral, well-sourced chronology of the İBB and İmamoğlu case and the files connected to it. You can scan the headline in 30 seconds or spend hours on the detail.

Editorial principles

  • Every event needs at least one source. Nothing is published without a source.
  • Facts and claims are separated. Court rulings are facts; prosecutor allegations are claims. Tags are shown in different colors.
  • Neutral, factual language. No editorialising in event titles or summaries. Direct quotes are placed in quotation marks.
  • Original summaries. No verbatim copy-pasting from news articles; external links for the full detail.
  • Transparent corrections. Every change made to an event is publicly logged with date and rationale. If you find a mistake, you can trace it and look at the history.

Source policy

Only publications with clear editorial principles and documented editorial independence are used as primary sources. Outlets with editorial positions aligned with the government are not listed as primary sources. The one exception: when an official statement's original publisher is the outlet itself — in that case the source is marked as official statement and an independent source is added when possible.

To see which publication is sourced for which event, see the /sources page.

Reading progress

You can mark events as read using the Mark read button on each card. This information stays only in this browser; nothing is sent to any server, and there is no sync between your phone and laptop. The Unread only switch in the filter bar lets you pick up where you left off.

You haven't marked any events as read yet.

Contribute

This chronology is compiled by one person. Someone reads the news every day, verifies the sources, and writes a neutral one-sentence summary. There's a lot of news, things slip through.

Is an event missing? Did you spot something you think is wrong? Write in — and send the source if you can. Messages are read; verified corrections land on the page within a day.
